Venture Hive Announces 2016 Retail Accelerator Classes For Both Non-Veterans and Veterans

Robert Foster, Director of Venture Hive, is happy to announce that a variety of Retail Companies in the Greater Fort Walton Beach area will be selected to participate at no cost in the second 2016 Venture Hive Accelerator class that begins September 19, and ends December 9.

This high-intensity Retail Session is open to both non-Veterans and to Veterans and will cover a myriad of real-world Retail topics for a select group of Fort Walton Beach Retailers, from “The ‘C’ in “Customer Service Stands for ‘Cash’!” to Cost-Effective Marketing, Maximizing Foot Traffic, Cross-Retailer Pollination, Leveling Revenues during Off-Season, Product Placement, Managing the Velocity of In-Store Shoppers, Making the Internet an Ancillary Revenue Stream, Smart Leasing and other relevant subjects.

The Classes are typically only an hour or two in the morning to allow retailers to return to their stores.

Several Companies outside of the area will be selected to participate via the Internet as Virtual attendees.

Interested Retailers can apply here.

The Venture Hive Accelerator was created through a partnership with the City of Fort Walton Beach, with the support of the Fort Walton Chamber of Commerce and the Okaloosa EDC, and its first two 12-week courses focused on Veterans.  The program is a founder- and owner-friendly, 12-week accelerator program focusing on individual development that supports global, disrupt-the-industry visions.  The companies selected will learn how focus on leveraging the resources and strengths of Florida’s Emerald Coast to scale their companies.  Foster “graduated” 10 companies in May of 2016 and many of those companies have added employees.

Benefits of participating in the program include a world-class curriculum of highly practical workshops and training sessions, free working space in Venture Hive’s Fort Walton Beach office for 12 months, exposure to qualified investors -- and a Demonstration Day at the conclusion of the program.  This intensive structured program also provides the selected businesses with access to a dedicated group of business coaches and mentors, highly customized training and a relevant network to support the scaling of their ventures.  The Classes are held at the Landing at 139 Brooks Street SE.

The veteran accelerator class will run from September 19 through December 9, 2016.
