Landrum Human Resources Companies Steps Up to Support Veterans

Landrum Human Resources Companies is recognizing the talent that resides in Northwest Florida's military community by committing $10,000 to sponsor the Innovation Award's Landrum Veterans Award.

With participants vying for more than $250,000 in cash and consulting and technical services, the Innovation Awards is the leading business plan competition in Florida. The two-day event, scheduled for April 12 and 13 at the Hilton Pensacola Beach hotel, will showcase the region as a leader in innovation and entrepreneurship.

The President of Landrum Human Resources Companies, Britt Landrum, III, said: “We are very appreciative of our veterans and recognize that the military is one of the three pillars of our Northwest Florida economy.  Landrum HR is proud to sponsor and support a company, born out of military experience, that will serve to further economic development within our region.”

Jim McClellan, chair of the board of directors for Innovation Coast, and director of marketing and communications for AppRiver, said the organization is thrilled that Landrum Human Resources Companies has stepped up to support a veteran-owned startup.

"The insights and skills veterans developed while serving their country readily translate to the business world," he said. "Landrum's generous sponsorship will help a veteran start and grow a successful business venture."

There are several sponsorship opportunities available for companies that are committed to strengthening and diversifying the region’s economy.
